Marcel den Herder – Managing director CSI Asia Pacific

In 2005, after a few years of absence Marcel has rejoined CSI in Singapore, responsible for managing the Asia Pacific operations. He has been focused on SAP Security & Control since 1992. From the start of his career he has been active at an international level and during the years in different roles related to the field. Marcel has a vast experience as an Auditor (internal & external), Consultant and Manager of SAP Security & Control Operations. As such he can relate well to all SAP Security stakeholders and brings along a broad experience to our customers during both his training and consultancy assignments.

Education:

Marcel holds a bachelor degree in IT and has successfully completed the post-graduate IT-auditing program at the Catholic University Brabant (The Netherlands).  He has been a member of NOREA the professional association for IT-auditors in the Netherlands since July 1996.

Marcel is the founding partner of Control Software International and one of the founding partners of CSI Netherlands. Within the CSI group he is in particular responsible for the international distribution of the unique CSI service concept and the operations of CSI companies outside Belgium and The Netherlands. Marcel has over 15 years of experience in the field of SAP audit, security and control. With his solid knowledge he provides solutions for clients in various industries. Marcel is also a gifted presenter and trainer. He provides many presentation and workshop sessions for customers in the Netherlands and abroad.

Education:

Marcel first graduated as ‘Register Accountant’ at NIVRA (Dutch Institute of Certified Public Auditors) and next as ‘Register EDP Auditor’ at VU (Dutch Free University). He also followed several SAP courses varying from base system to functional modules.
